Builder

Broken pieces of abandoned dreams,
Winds that we could not catch,
Time that slipped away like sand,
Promises that were not kept,

Await the great builder,
The indefatigable force of nature,
No mountain too high,
No ocean too deep,

I am the builder,
I will build them all,
Block by block,
Stooping over the pieces,

Patiently arranging them all,
Until my life’s work is done,
Unafraid to start all over,
For there’s no light without dark,

Only one outcome remains,
I will build, always.
